"Don't mock someone who is trying their best, sh#thead." You tell em Tatsuru. Love that comeback and love the end result with this anime, this has been pretty good from start to finish and gonna miss this. As for "Love, All Play" is good in it's own way with animation but story ain't as spicy as "Ryman's Club" and "Love. All Play" just follows the typical sports high school troupe but it's still good to watch though and this anime I rate a 7/10 for being consistent and spicy.

“Kusou gaki!”

Super satisfying line.

Kirito • 2 years ago

That ending is so satisfying mikoto is now the senpai doing the things what tatsuru told Mikoto when he's still new what a fine ending. Ryman's club is kinda like remain but ryman's club won

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

And will be meme at some point XD

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 2 years ago

Oh yeah, that was also another satisfying moment in the episode, I loved that Tatsuru said that to him.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

He so deserved it to XD

Kirito • 2 years ago

When tatsuru said ouch/itai I thought he hurt his knee but it was the elastic underwear hahaha they both laugh

Anime & Rutabagas • 2 years ago

We got a good amount of sport anime for 2022 lol

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

Sports anime
Fantasy anime
Isekai anime
ectra

Time Sky • 2 years ago

Yeah Love, All Play seem good so far. Maybe not as Ryman to me but still good.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

Right now All Play is mellow and rather dry atm but hope it picks up.
So far All Play's animation and visuals is good but it needs more spice to it.

Kirito • 2 years ago

So that guy was the old partner of tatsuru and they didn't even say the ryman's club name that little kid shouted go badaryman

TaliZorah2311 • 1 year ago

altho i agree with you that this is better than Love all play, there is nothing wrong with a regular sports anime. Most times im bothered by forced spins .. i almost passed on Rayman's club cause of it. In this case the i enjoyed the spin but most times i hate it

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

I liked that the show went to each opponent's backstory as well! Made it more memorable. The action was so crisp. That sentence sort of inspired me.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 2 years ago

I laughed so hard when Kirishima tried to use Mikoto's trauma against him but he and Tatsuru were already prepared for such a moment and smashed their way into a win, that was so satisfying to watch! Especially with Tatsuru doing his signature jumping smash!

This was a fun series to watch and it's unfortunate this is the last episode but if they do a second season, I guess the end was hinting at the two being potentially picked for a national team? That'd be interesting to see.

Interesting to see Kirishima didn't understand that his older brother was actually playing his best and has yet to come to that conclusion even after growing up, but at least things might change for them after this loss especially with him telling him to visit their parents' place.

It was amusing to see Mikoto teaching the ropes to a new recruit and has adopted Tatsuru's way of teaching lol.

Time. • 2 years ago

Haha Mikoto really has! And the newbie sounds like Mikoto when he first joined too lol

Kirito • 2 years ago

I thought that was the old partner of mikoto but mikoto said newbie so it's a new guy he's doing what tatsuru teached him when mikoto was new what a nice ending sunlight beverage company got a lot of calls

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

yae new guys always think it's about the data (I work in finance). The narrative is important as well.

Anime & Rutabagas • 2 years ago

Mikoto is a senpai now lol

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

Best parts was that dis comeback and that jumping smash

Kirito • 2 years ago

Kirishima knows the trauma of Mikoto that he can't jump and mikoto thought he would never let that mistake happen again so he trusted tatsuru and deym that jump of tatsuru was awesome kirishima was shock

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

This episode was worth it just to see Mikoto’s team wipe the smirk off that arrogant brat’s face. Knowing Kirishima’s backstory didn’t make me empathize with him one bit.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

Same here 😤

Ohms Nuttachai • 2 years ago

Always hate it when the show tries to add some sobbing backstory to make us sympathize with the antagonist. I don't think we need that for Kirishima.

Time. • 2 years ago

Loved how this episode was still showing a little backstory!

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

just like a sideboob isn't the full boob

Kirito • 2 years ago

It was a sad mid backstory of kirishima he started at volleyball he was good everyone praised him they keep saying he has talent but he's just working hard and then that day his aniki stopped playing with him that got him upset and overconfidence glad he tased the losing feeling

Astolfo-kun • 2 years ago

Finishing off the season with a grand slam! That final hit was unexpected, since his knee was injured. Their sales really went up after that match

Anime & Rutabagas • 2 years ago

Winning the tournament is definitely free promotion lol

Anime & Rutabagas • 2 years ago

Really want to try their green onion ginger ale....

Time Sky • 2 years ago

I gotta say I enjoying Ryman club despite it having all male cast. I watch it if it have S2.

GreenTea Gal • 2 years ago

glad you didn't miss out and stepped outta your comfort zone :3

Time Sky • 2 years ago

Lately I trying to get out my comfort zone and trying different thing like Sasaki to Miyano. I say that the show was good.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

Same here ^^

Anime & Rutabagas • 2 years ago

Same here too lol

The finale was really cool to watch and also freakin intense at some points. Nothing like the crowd cheering them on to hype you up and get you emotional.
I keep thinking about Mikoto's injury, that twist last week was so brutal.
Having the epilogue scene where Mikoto is now teaching the newbie to the job and probably badminton really shows how far he has grown from the beginning of the series.

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

It's rare that I get personally excited at an animated sports action scene. Don't remember the last time I cheered for a real life sports action scene. Perhaps last season when my NY Mets played - about to go to some home games.

Time. • 2 years ago

Very very enjoyable last episode! Overall a 8/10

Haha Mikoto sounded like a real boss at the end. Tatsuru would be proud!

Welp I guess it’s time to start watching All Play and see how it is.

Faynke • 2 years ago

I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS ANIME!!! Definitely not your usual sports anime, but still super good! I love that we got a setting different than high school. Our main duo is SO cute lakdjflakdjf Playing badminton without you is meaningless, they're in love your honor.

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

don't remember the last show where I was on the edge of my seat. ED is so catchy as well and fun seeing Mikey walking around

Liana • 2 years ago

ok but the way i was fully bracing myself for them to lose to be pleasantly surprised that they'd turn it around in the end... the crowd alighting in unison for sunbev which led to them confessing that they wanna be each other's sides for good and gave them the push they needed to pull through :") such a polarising scene honestly.

tatsu and mikoto winning together was such a perfect ending to their backstory of the teacher/older bro figure and the enthusiastic kid turned jaded athlete turned enthusiastic kid again. the way they brought out the best in each other with mikoto not allowing tatsu to handle his injury alone and tatsu making sure mikoto doesn't fight alone :( and for all their efforts to conclude in a victory. whew, so poetic.

that speech about how corporate sports is not a profitable venture on paper but is indispensable for company morale and unity... so great of them to put that in, because it reminds me of how people who watch sports can bask in the excitement of cheering for their favourite teams. they're not the ones playing, but the emotions are very real, nonetheless.

i also liked how tatsu called out kirishima for mocking people who do their best, when that's most likely why his older brother stopped talking to him. showing kirishima say "nice" to izumo at the end was a nice nod to his character development from here when he's been such an ass this whole season lmao. i'm so glad the brothers are reconciling :(

speaking of, i really like how this anime had the theme of brotherhood/partnerships—between the leads, different brother duos, etc. it really shows how different dynamics could be and the varied interactions and plot points you could get, depending on the kind of relationship between the bros.

finally, i really love how everyone had their own backstory, especially given the time constraint. makes the world all the more real, which is fitting of the "real-life" setting of corporate life. we got to see everyone's motivations and a glimpse of their lives outside work and badminton. even kirishima didn't seem like such a 2D villain anymore lol and i admit to have felt for him, especially since we were shown how supportive the saeki bros are to one another. also, i realised that kirishima was sort of a parallel to mikoto and what he could've been if he stuck to wanting to do everything alone?

i really hope we get a season 2! 9/10 because i still wish we got to see misora vs usuyama hahaha.

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

yea want to see more Usuyama matches

GreenTea Gal • 2 years ago

satisfying finale 😤 their goofy smiles at the end icing on the cake 💕

Billy Bob • 2 years ago

You know you're having fun when everyone acts goofy and no one cares. Love those feelings.

Sun chan • 2 years ago

This was an excellent anime to watch during the winter season. I'm hoping we can get a second season in the future. I'll miss seeing the guys from the Sunlight Beverage team, especially Tatsuru and Mikoto.

wwlaos • 2 years ago

Hot damn that was good!

They had to make a generic ending like bro. sigh 5/10 for me. If this was first time I ever watching an sports anime I would rate higher but after seen dozens of sports anime this generic. Still there isn't a single sports anime out there keep me amazed and loved like I first time watching the one outs. One Outs was so amazing from the start to finish
